Take note of the words highlighted in blue. Unlike the other proofreader, we did not change the word 'since' to 'as' due to the fact that in the above context, using either one of the two words is correct.

Meanwhile, for the word 'addressed', the other proofreader had mistakenly replaced the word with its original form 'address'. She probably thought that as the sentence is in the present tense, no post-fix 'ed' should come after 'address'. We believe this misconception is rather prevalent among some people who are of the notion that the post-fix 'ed' after a verb word always indicates that it is in the past tense. In the above case, using 'addressed' is correct even though it is not in the past tense because the sentence is in the passive form.
